UGANDA

Despite the increasing demand for housing facilities, Uganda's manufacturing techniques have not changed since antiquity. Brickmakers spend hours under the sun, digging the ground, mixing mud with their feet to produce hundreds of bricks every day.

CinemArena is an innovative project of the Italian Cooperation Agency which brings cinema to the most remote villages of Burkina Faso to create awareness among the local population about the risks of illegal immigrations and its alternatives.

THE THIRD GENDER

Every year, the 150 thousand inhabitants of Juchitan,
in the State of Oaxaca, Mexico celebrate what westerns would call “sexual tolerance”, while in Juchitan it is a millenary culture: the role of homosexual and transexual. 

 

They are not Jewish but they follow Judaism as the 13th tribe. Situated in a remote rural village of Eastern Uganda, 350 members of the Abayudaya community share a spiritual home, marked by the Knesset She’erit Yisrael synagogue.

JEWS OF UGANDA

In 2012, one year after the declaration of independence of South Sudan, the South Sudanese community was deported from Israel to their new country. Thanks to the Israeli NGO "Become", 115 children have been transferred  to Uganda, where they can receive a proper education and live in a safe environment. Through the lenses of disposable cameras, 10 children depict their new lives
